Buying at auction is always a pleasant and exciting affair, no matter how often you have participated before. When the bidding begins on the object you desire, you can join the bidding by raising your hand or paddle - provided to you when you enter the auction room. The auctioneer indicates at which amount the bidding will start, subsequently he will raise with approximately 10% for each following bid, and he will hammer down the lot to the highest bidder. The final bid price will be increased with the buyers premium. The Notarishuis charges a percentage of 27% for this purpose. Please see the example below.

Absentee Bids
If you cannot attend the auction, the commission agent can bid on your behalf. For this purpose you can fill in a form, specifying on which lot you would like to bid as well as the maximum amount. The commission agent will try to obtain the desired lot for the lowest possible price. It is possible that this amount is lower than your indicated maximum amount. Absentee bid forms are available during the viewing days. This service is free of charge.

Telephone Bids
Another possibility for participating in the auction without being present in the auction room, is bidding by telephone. This option is only available for lots with a low estimate higher than € 500.00. One of our employees will call you during the auction, when the lot will be going under the hammer and they will give you the opportunity to join the room in bidding. This service is free of charge as well.
