Valuations

Performing valuations of moveable property comprises a natural part of the activities of Notarishuis Arnhem. We distinguish three categories from each other: valuations for auction, valuations for insurance and valuations for succession,division of inheritance and partition of property.

Rates
The rates for creating a valuation report are €135.00 excluding 19% VAT for the first hour or part of an hour. For each additional hour, or part of an hour required for the valuation, another € 100.00 excluding 19% VAT is added. If necessary, travel and accommodation expenses can be charged as well.

Valuations for Auction
If you want to sell private property at auction at the Notarishuis Arnhem, we can arrange an appointment free of charge and without further obligations. You can make an appointment by telephone to visit the Notarishuis Arnhem if you want to have a few objects valued. Our valuers are present on Wednesday and Saturday morning. If the quantity or volume of the objects is substantial, it is possible to examine and value the objects at your home. In both cases you will receive a guideprice for the possible auction results. It is also possible to send us pictures. A valuer will then contact you by telephone.

Valuations for Insurance
Does your property include a number of paintings, works of art, antiquities, gold or silver jewellery and would you like to determine the insurance value? Or does your Home insurance company demands that you will get a estimation on the value of your household effects? You can use the Registered broker-valuer of Notarishuis Arnhem. He can draw up a report accepted by your Home insurance company (in accordance with art. 7.960 BW), in order that in case of fire, damage, loss or theft there will be no discussion about the amount to be paid.


Valuations for succession, division of inheritance and partition of property.
In certain cases after a decease the Internal Revenue Service can ask for a valuation of the property, with reference to the inheritance tax. Aside from this, a valuation report, created by an independent expert can contribute to a division of inheritance in a pleasant atmosphere. Notarishuis Arnhem is highly qualified to take care of these kind of valuations.
